Sports & Leisure

Arturus Architects offers a new name in Sports and Leisure Design. Robert Guy has 30 years experience in this field and has brought along a young and talented team to develop this area of expertise within Arturus.

We are actively involved in all sizes of project from pavilions for football, rugby and cricket grounds; simple alterations and refurbishments of local authority facilities; new sports centres; to major stadium and arena developments. Many of the larger projects include commercial enabling developments making them major regeneration schemes.

Projects include; the 18,500 seat Memorial Stadium in Bristol for Bristol Rovers Football Club; the Regeneration of Rodney Parade in Newport to provide a 15,000 capacity stadium for Newport Rugby Club and Newport Gwent Dragons; a 20,000 seat stadium for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club; the provision of two additional lanes to an athletics track and floodlighting and other works to enable the infield area to be used for NLS step 5 football; and an indoor 6 lane 25 metre pool and leisure pool for Brean Holiday Park.

Arturus have also been carrying out the checking role on the 65,000 seat stadium in Basra designed by 360 Architecture through a subcontract to a BWS/AMBS joint venture.
