Healthcare

Arturus Architects have had many years of experience in healthcare projects ranging from ward refurbishments up to complete new hospitals with values from £50,000 up to £8million.

We have dealt with highly specialised areas such as Accident and Emergency Departments, Intensive Care Units and MRI/CT Suites and have also been involved in feasibility work for new Health Clinics as part of the NHS Lift Programme. We have successfully carried out many Laboratory projects both for the National Blood Service and for local hospitals. Our approach works well when dealing with the level of sensitive design appropriate for Mental Health facilities. We have successfully designed a number of new PFI hospitals including Redruth Acute Mental Health Unit, Savernake Community Hospital in Marlborough and Monnow Court in Monmouth.

Our partners are supported by skilled technical staff who have a long track record in healthcare design. We work well as part of a team and our design work is easily integrated with other design team members. We are also fully conversant with current Healthcare Procedures, Codes of Practice and Technical Memoranda.

We offer a caring approach in which the involvement of staff and users is seen as an integral part of the design process leading towards a successful solution. We create imaginative cost-effective buildings, with a non-clinical atmosphere where appropriate, and believe that the built environment has a strong part to play in the healing process.
