NBT WESTGATE HOUSE

The refurbishment of Westgate House provides a bright new Outpatient Clinic on the ground floor as well as the new Police enquiry office, and then to the first floor a modern, fit for purpose station for the local Neighbourhood team. Both users have their own separate entrance points to the building.

The scheme was of mutual interest for both clients. Designed for a range of children’s outpatient services away from the main hospital, the collaboration with the Police also assists the Trust in operating the hospital whilst maintaining a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors. For the Police it provides an accessible location within the heart of Southmead.

The scheme was carried out as two separate projects until the construction phase, when both were then undertaken as one through a single building contract.

The scheme was completed for both clients in Spring 2019.
