Ruth trained as a medical laboratory scientific officer at the National Blood Transfusion laboratories at Southmead Hospital, Bristol before going on to become the Senior Officer in charge of the Haematology Department at Queen Charlotte's Hospital, Hammersmith. She has a good understanding of business processes from working in her family's business selling wheels and castors and is responsible for the administration of the practice.
